Job summary

Campus Services Group in Deland, FL is hiring a Floor Technician to maintain clean and safe floors across campus environments. You will strip, wax, buff, and clean carpets, operate auto scrubbers and burnishers, and support daily janitorial duties to keep hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas welcoming.

The role emphasizes safety, infection control, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Safely operate floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, burnishers).
• Maintain cleanliness in floors across halls, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies for safety.
• Respond to floor care requests and coordinate with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
