Job summary

University of North Carolina at Asheville is seeking a Maintenance Worker for Campus Operations. This full-time role supports the Budget and Finance division by assisting with event setup, moving heavy furniture, and delivering large materials from central receiving.

Candidates will also participate in grounds maintenance (mowing, mulching, pruning) and trash/recycling collection. A valid driver’s license is required, and hours follow a Monday–Friday schedule with possible weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing Requests for Services including event setup, moving heavy furniture and equipment, and delivery of large materials from central receiving.
• Assist in grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, cleaning walkways, mulching, planting, and pruning, as well as the collection of trash and recycling.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
