Job summary

Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church (WCPC) is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to care for our campus. This full-time role covers routine upkeep, cleanliness, grounds, event setup, and general facilities support to ensure a safe, welcoming space for worship and community use.

The ideal candidate works independently, communicates maintenance needs clearly, and collaborates with the facilities team to address campus needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance or related hands-on field.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks.
• Good organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Dependability and punctuality, including for Sunday responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and ready-to-use campus during operating hours.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and cosmetic upkeep.
• Set up rooms and spaces for worship services, rentals, and events.
• Troubleshoot basic building issues and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Manager and staff for projects and safety.
