Job summary

Latham Centers, Inc. in Brewster, MA is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Specialist to keep our residential and educational campus safe, functional, and welcoming for children, adults, and staff we serve.

The role covers routine repairs, preventative maintenance, landscaping, vehicle upkeep, and on-call readiness, with a stable daytime schedule and emphasis on independent work and teamwork. Starting pay is $23 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and operate maintenance tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across residential, educational, and administrative buildings.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, and general building issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance projects to keep facilities in good condition.
• Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
• Coordinate with other departments and respond to maintenance requests promptly.
• Support upkeep and servicing of organization-owned vehicles.
