BASIS Cedar Park is seeking a Facilities Assistant to start ASAP. You will join a dynamic school environment that values collaboration and hands-on problem solving.

The role covers repairs, maintenance, and event support across the campus, with responsibilities ranging from HVAC to safety compliance. Strong communication and independent work are essential, as is the ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• 2+ years of facilities and building maintenance experience.
• Ability to make quick and important facilities-related decisions.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Ability to think critically and implement procedures.
• Be adaptable to change and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Respond to staff requests for maintenance, custodial services, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate third-party vendors for maintenance, custodial, HVAC, landscaping, and pest control.
• Maintain grounds free of litter and debris.
• Maintain file on work orders, proposals, and facilities documents.
• Support school events and provide needed equipment and set-up.
• Act as campus safety manager for traffic and emergency response.
• Maintain emergency preparedness program.
• Support Head of Operations on other projects.
