Job summary

Southern Crescent Technical College is seeking a part-time Custodian at the Flint River Campus in Thomaston, GA. Under general supervision, you will maintain proper care of facilities, clean restrooms, move furniture, set up for events, and perform floor care tasks such as waxing and carpet cleaning.

Qualifications include no specific experience required; preferred six months of custodial work, a HS diploma or GED, and driver’s license with good DMV record.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Preferred qualifications: At least six months experience in custodial duties; High School diploma or GED; floor care equipment experience; maintenance experience; GA driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, maintain proper care of technical college facilities.
• Perform routine duties: thoroughly clean restrooms and fixtures, move furniture, set up chairs/tables/podiums for events and functions, perform floor care (stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning).
• May provide care and routine maintenance of grounds.
• May distribute and maintain materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
