Job summary

The role covers various campus buildings, requires operating floor care equipment, wall and fixture cleaning, and supporting campus events while following OSHA, EPA, and CDC guidelines.

The position entails floating to different zones, covering for absences, and may include overtime or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in floor care and custodial field.
• Ability to communicate and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's license prior to employment and maintain it.
• Must be eligible to drive Institute vehicles and adhere to the policy.
• Adhere to safety protocols when using cleaning solutions and equipment.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates floor care equipment to scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors.
• Operates steam and rotary machines to shampoo carpeting and upholstery.
• Cleans fixtures, glass surfaces, and walls.
• Drives vehicles to move equipment and supplies around campus.
• Climbs ladders and handles commissioning projects including window washing.
• Supports campus events by delivering equipment and assisting with setup.
