Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa seeks an experienced professional to oversee event management and operations in the UNI-Dome, McLeod Center, and outdoor facilities, serving as the operations lead for assigned venues and supervising visiting crews.

This role requires coordination of maintenance, custodial services, concessions setup/teardown, security, and daily facility upkeep, with frequent evening and weekend commitments and adherence to NCAA and conference rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of event and facility management experience in a multi‑purpose and/or outdoor facility.
• Frequent evening and weekend work will be necessary.
• Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big XII Conference and the University of Northern Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Oversees event management and operations in the UNI-Dome, McLeod Center and assigned outdoor athletic facilities.
• Serves as the operations lead for assigned athletic facilities; supervises visiting crews in the production of sporting and entertainment events.
• Provides oversight of support services, maintenance, custodial services, concessions set up and tear down, and security.
• Performs daily facility maintenance and oversees preventive maintenance programs.
