Job summary

Swarthmore College is seeking an Environmental Technician to maintain cleanliness across campus facilities. This part-time pool role works 16 hours per week on the 1st shift at $20.60 per hour.

Responsibilities include restroom and space cleaning, floor care, moving heavy items, and waste sorting aligned with the College’s zero waste practices. PA criminal background check required and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Positive interaction with students, staff, and faculty.
• Knowledge of sanitization methods.
• Weekend, holiday, and evening availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of restrooms, common spaces, dorms and academic spaces.
• Perform floor care: vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing, carpet shampooing.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
• Collect trash, recyclables, and compostables.
• Maintain restrooms with supplies.
• Uphold zero waste practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
