Job summary

St-John in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Maintenance I to perform electrical maintenance for campus buildings and grounds, and assist with general maintenance as directed by the director. The role includes on-call duties and occasional travel to off-campus sites.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical systems, installing circuits, setting up for events, and maintaining communication equipment. A two-year degree or equivalent training and 2–5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
• Two years’ experience in the electrical field required; general maintenance experience is desired.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds; work in varied weather and conditions; on-call rotating weekends; travel to off-campus sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily electrical maintenance of all buildings; maintenance and repair of electrical distribution equipment, interior and exterior lighting, power outlets, electrical appliances; installs electrical circuits and new appliances.
• General maintenance duties include moving furniture, setting up for events, and performing routine preventative maintenance (greasing, oiling, changing belts, filters, bulbs).
• Attends training sessions required by the supervisor and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Responsible for maintenance, repair and installation of communication equipment including telephone and data.
