Job summary

University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Extra Help Assistant- EHS Tech to assist the Director of Environmental Health and Safety in maintaining campus compliance across general safety, fire safety, lab safety, recycling, and animal control.

The role is governed by state regulations and institutional policy, with a starting hourly pay between $11.00 and $19.00, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
• Must have basic computer skills and some experience with MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Routine Safety Systems Inspection and Repair to include but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Exit Signs, Smoke/Heat Detectors, UST Monitoring Wells, Eyewashes, Safety Showers, and other Building Devices.
• Fire Systems Maintenance and Inspection.
• Lamp Recycling.
• Safety/General Equipment Inspection.
• Animal Control.
• Miscellaneous Trouble Calls/Fire Alarm Responses; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.
