Job summary

University Housing is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead culinary operations in UW–Madison's residential dining facilities. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and coordinate menus and catering to residents and guests.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, maintaining high food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service in a busy, on-campus environment. This full-time role offers meal benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service experience in a professional kitchen setting.
• Current ServSafe Manager certification, or the ability to be certified within the first 6 months of appointment.
• A valid driver's license meeting UW Risk Management standards is required for catering positions and preferred for in-unit positions.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of foodservice staff
• Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
• Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
• Develops and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
• Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
