Job summary

Aramark at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the Pavilion Dining Hall. You will assist with food preparation, maintain records, and help ensure high standards of sanitation and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining equipment and storage, following menus and policies, and delivering quality service in a fast-paced environment; prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is included in a meal and serve accordingly.
• Ensure storage of food in a sanitary manner.
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and uniform policy.
• Assist manager with daily reports and menu preparation.
