Job summary

Aramark on the University of South Carolina campus is seeking a Student Worker in Food Service or Catering to support daily operations and guest service on site. You will assist with food preparation, safe handling, and customer interactions in a fast-paced campus setting.

Ideal candidates are reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn. Prior food service experience helps, but training is provided to help you develop practical skills on safety, teamwork and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Guest service skills are expected.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• No degree required; on-site student position with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Properly stores food in accordance with standards
• Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
• Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
• Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers’ needs
• Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
