Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education is hiring a Retail Manager for Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY. You will oversee the successful operation of the cafeteria/retail food service under the Director of Dining Services.

Responsibilities include planning functions, cash controls, payroll, hiring/training hourly staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining corporate standards. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and familiarity with food service

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three years related experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food cost controls, sanitation, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises special functions, payroll records, and hiring/training of hourly team members.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and public relations through safe, efficient use of resources.
• Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services per policies and standards.
• Trains staff in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation.
• Completes daily/weekly/monthly reports per corporate policies and deadlines.
• Communicates with team members, patients and families.
