Job summary

Dow Inc. offers digital internships for PhD scientists and engineers in Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and other North American locations with hybrid or remote options. You will align to Dow functions such as R&D, ISC, M&E, IS, or EHS&S.

As an industrial researcher, you will tackle complex data-science and engineering challenges, collaborate with domain experts, and advance projects spanning product and process research, operations, safety, sustainability, and supply chain optimization.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or other related disciplines.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current graduate program preferred.

Responsibilities

Solve diverse, open-ended problems with data-driven approaches.
Collaborate with Dow domain experts to accelerate delivery on high-priority projects.
Contribute to development and modernization of R&D software and digital tools.
Assist in advanced planning, scheduling optimization, and process improvements.
Support safety, sustainability, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
