Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a part-time custodian to clean common areas of the campus facilities, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation to provide a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning and following supervisor directions. The role requires reliability with varying shifts and some flexibility based on hotel occupancy.

Qualifications

• This is an entry-level position.
• Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are required.
• Six months of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, clean mops, scrubs and dust.
• Ability to change the course of action quickly.
• Cleans hotel areas including bathrooms.
• Dust cleans furniture, fixtures, doors and related furnishing by using appropriates chemicals.
• Perform other duties per supervisor and manager’s directions.
