Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Custodian I to maintain the cleanliness and condition of our campus facilities. The role supports a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors.

The position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork. Day shifts run Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm, with occasional shifts on other days as needed. Residency in Colorado is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial or closely-related work experience.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or general cleaning tasks is a plus.
• Part-time work will be prorated and must be substantiated in the application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of facilities to provide a safe, comfortable campus environment.
• Support a team to keep classrooms, restrooms and common areas well kept.
• Adhere to the established day shift schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00am–1:30pm; other shifts may be filled occasionally.
