Job summary

Ozarks Technical Community College seeks a Custodian I to perform custodial duties during unoccupied and occupied hours, following established procedures. The role also moves furnishings and equipment for special events or to facilitate cleaning across campus facilities.

This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Custodial Supervisor and requires safety awareness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about cleaning and polishing agents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Experience in custodial duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance.
• Clean assigned buildings and facilities, including floors and windows.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (vacuum, mop, buffer, scrubber).
• Move furniture and equipment for events or cleaning.
• Maintain walkways and remove snow/ice.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Attend college functions and participate in committees.
