Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a diligent custodian to perform routine cleaning in residential hall bathrooms and common areas, including laundry rooms, corridors, and lounges on campus in Durham. Must follow approved cleaning standards and safety protocols and be able to wear PPE when required.

Responsibilities include floor care, waste collection, and restorative cleaning of vacant rooms, reporting maintenance needs, and participating in safety training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED is required.
• Sufficient strength and dexterity for heavy cleaning duties.
• Ability to read English.

Responsibilities

• Clean residential hall bathrooms and common areas daily.
• Perform routine floor care and machine-assisted cleaning.
• Assist with restorative cleaning of vacant rooms and surfaces.
• Collect waste, sort recyclables, and maintain supplies.
• Respond to service requests and report maintenance needs.
• Attend safety trainings and team meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
