Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at K-12 or higher education campuses, ensuring a clean and safe learning environment.

You will clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and common areas, sweep and mop floors, empty trash, and maintain supplies while following safety procedures and company standards. On‑site training is provided, and 18+ with no diploma required are welcome.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as needed in all designated areas.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager concerning repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain communication with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors and managers.
