Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking a Custodian to provide a clean, safe, high-quality learning environment across campuses. The role emphasizes maintaining facilities, following safety procedures, and supporting school operations.

You’ll work with the Facilities team, earn an hourly wage between $14.86 and $18.21, and be eligible for a performance bonus plus a comprehensive benefits plan that covers medical premiums for employees and families, tuition reimbursement, and other perks.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean and healthy environment that guarantees an enhanced learning environment.
• Achieve a proficient rating on the Facilities Rubric and Facilities Audit.
• Execute assigned work orders, assuring 90% of campus projects are completed within 48 hours.
• Complete all daily cleaning responsibilities, paying special attention to details.
• Work with Facilities Manager to identify facilities needs for CapEx planning.
