ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at K-12 school, college or university campuses. The role supports safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments and is open to candidates entering the workforce or returning with limited experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, office, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all designated areas.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager concerning the need for repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
