Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Custodial Manager to oversee custodial services across a college or university campus, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

You will supervise frontline staff, develop cleaning programs, and partner with campus stakeholders to maintain service excellence, while managing safety compliance, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of custodial or facilities leadership experience.
• Experience supervising hourly employees in a large environment.
• Knowledge of custodial methods, floor care programs, cleaning equipment, and sanitation practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work order management systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily custodial operations across campus facilities.
• Develop staffing plans, work schedules, and cleaning assignments to meet campus needs.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality and cleanliness standards.
• Respond to service requests, complaints, and emergency cleaning situations.
• Coordinate custodial support for special events and campus functions.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop custodial supervisors and frontline staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing management.
• Ensure staffing levels through scheduling and workforce planning.
• Promote engagement and accountability among staff.
• Enforce safety regulations and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Manage labor and supply budgets; monitor inventory and equipment.
• Evaluate equipment needs and recommend improvements.
• Maintain records and reports for quality assurance.
