Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring immediately for full and part-time COOK positions at CSU Northridge. The role requires at least 2 years of scratch kitchen experience, with open availability and varying hours from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities include preparing food to recipe standards, maintaining HACCP compliance, portion control, and organized, safe kitchen operations. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour, with benefits and Instapay options available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of cook experience in scratch kitchen / recipe driven.
• Open availability and full or part-time scheduling considered.
• Adheres to HACCP standards and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items from standardized recipes to meet production schedules.
• Serves meals and ensures correct portioning and temperature, with attractive presentation.
• Maintains cleanliness, stores food safely, and operates kitchen equipment properly.
• Assists in ordering, receiving and inventory, and reports maintenance needs promptly.
• Follows safety protocols and participates in in-service and safety meetings.
