Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a full-time Cook at the University of Houston-Victoria in Victoria, TX. The role requires prior food service experience and offers a 2:00 pm–9:00 pm shift, Monday through Friday with weekends required, at a pay rate of $12.00 per hour.

Location is on site at 2705 Houston Highway, Victoria, TX 77901. Benefits include free shift meals and free uniforms. Applications are accepted ongoing until openings are filled.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is required.
• Must be able to work a full-time schedule including Monday–Friday 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm; weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
