Job summary

Susquehanna University seeks a Chaplain and Director of Religious and Spiritual Life to lead worship, provide pastoral care, and advance interfaith programming. The role reports to the Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer and supports ELCA traditions within a pluralistic campus.

The position is exempt under FLSA, requires collaboration across university partners, and includes directing the Center for Spirituality and Meaning with responsibilities for supervision and campus initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent required.
• Five years or more as campus minister, college chaplain, or pastor.
• Experience ministering to diverse faith perspectives is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ministry of word and sacrament during Sunday worship in Weber Chapel.
• Plan and lead interfaith programming and campus religious-life initiatives.
• Advise student religious life clubs and collaborate with campus partners.
• Oversee operations of the Office of Religious & Spiritual Life and MOUs.
