Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time cashier for our campus dining team in Aurora, IL. The shift runs Sunday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with emphasis on accurate cash handling, friendly customer service, and efficient sales transactions.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, giving correct change, processing different payment methods, and maintaining sanitation and service standards in the dining area.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other forms of payment; issues receipts.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring cash drawer accuracy.
