Salary ranges from $42,000 to $47,000 annually. The position is non-exempt with a pay band 3. Vision for campus safety includes OSHA compliance and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman-level experience in commercial or residential carpentry is required.
• Proven ability to use a diverse range of tools and machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of repairing door hardware and panic devices.
• Basic knowledge of computer and work order systems.
• Valid Virginia driver7s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout work and assess project requirements.
• Installations or renovations of campus buildings.
• Order parts and materials with accurate cost documentation.
• Repairs to campus buildings inside and outside, including structural and cosmetic work.
• Complete tasks within requester7s specified timeframe.
• Conduct campus-wide inspections to identify repairs.
• Repair or construct items like cabinets and bookshelves in-shop.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain shop and vehicle inventory and proper item locations.
• Review labor and material bids for carpentry jobs.
