Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is hiring a Cafeteria Manager to lead the campus CNP team, ensuring meals meet USDA standards and school wellness goals. You will assign duties, monitor finances, and coordinate with campus leaders to promote College For All.

You will direct staff, ensure 100% menu execution, and uphold safety and nutrition programs while fostering a positive cafeteria environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry required
• 1+ years in a supervisory role or leading a team required
• Valid Texas driver's license required
• Valid Food Handler's Card preferred (willing to obtain within 30 days)

Responsibilities

• Direct the team to execute the approved menu 100% every day
• Ensure every student participating in the meal program takes a reimbursable meal
• Ensure counting/claiming methods are compliant and accurate
• Observe counting at time of service and enter counts into trackers
• Recruit, train, and develop cafeteria staff and substitutes
• Conduct weekly staff huddles and timely timesheet reviews
• Oversee breakfast/lunch audits and recipe/menu accuracy
• Maintain welcoming serving environments and proper food temperatures
• Promote participation and adherence to HQ nutrition standards
