Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a cafeteria assistant for our Topeka, KS office. The role supports daily food service duties—prep, warewashing, serving, and stocking—while upholding strict food safety and guest experience standards.

You will follow portion control, maintain sanitation, rotate inventory using FIFO, and assist with campus meal delivery. A high school diploma and 1 year of large-group food service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Experience in food service for large groups preferred.
• Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Complies with portion sizes, quality standards and department policies.
• Maintains food handling, safety, and sanitation during service.
• Completes daily shift work and ensures attendance.
• Assist with on-campus meal delivery.
