Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington’s Campus Bus Service is seeking part-time drivers/maintenance staff to support daily operations on the Bloomington campus. Responsibilities include refueling, basic maintenance, cleaning, and operating IU transit buses to ensure safe and efficient service.

Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Required is a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with IU insurance eligibility; CDL and ASE certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSED).
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to be insured by IU upon hire.
• Preferred CDL upon hire and ASE Light Duty Maintenance Certification.

Responsibilities

• Refuels university vehicles and performs preventative maintenance.
• Replenishes fluids, cleans, documents defects, and submits fuel reports.
• Cleans and disinfects high-touch areas and removes waste.
• Operates IU transit buses and parks them in the facility bus parking area.
• Ensures safety of self and others; reports safety issues.
