Job summary

Butte College seeks a Bus Operator (Temporary Non-Regular) to provide safe transportation for students and participate in school-related trips and events. The role supports campus mobility and athletics travel with a focus on reliability and safety.

Schedule varies, typically Monday–Thursday, 6:15 am–4:45 pm, August through May. Requires CDL, DL-45, MEC, First Aid/CPR, and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• High school level education or GED.
• Valid California CDL with school bus, passenger and air brake endorsements.
• Valid School Bus Driver’s Certificate (DL-45).
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) required.
• Pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to campus, class field trips, and athletic events.
• Adhere to safety standards and district policies during transport.

Education

School bus driver’s certificate (Form DL-45)

Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
