Job summary

Florida Institute of Technology is seeking a part-time Bus Driver/Operator to join the Transportation Department for August–May. The role involves 20-27 hours weekly on rotating shifts between 4:45 AM and 12:30 AM, including on-call or overtime as needed.

You will be the face of the university, delivering safe, friendly service to students, faculty and visitors. The ideal candidate holds a CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement and at least one year of passenger bus experience.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement.
• At least one year of experience operating passenger buses (16+ capacity).
• Customer service orientation and ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers across campus and surrounding areas.
• Deliver excellent customer service as a visible ambassador of the university.
• Use clerical and digital tools for emails, fleet reporting.
• Collaborate with team members and departments for smooth operations.
• Fuel, clean, and perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles.
• Maintain logs and submit documentation through digital platforms.
• Report for emergencies or special events as essential personnel.
• Comply with traffic and safety regulations while driving safely.
