Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Campus Bus Operator to safely transport students, faculty and staff across our Columbus campus and medical center seven days a week. You will drive a range of buses, perform pre-trip inspections, document activities, and assist passengers with needs along busy routes.

Qualified candidates hold a Class B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements, pass medical and background checks, and can work evenings, weekends, and during events.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements.
• Must pass routine medical, drug, and alcohol screenings.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings/weekends and special events.
• Must complete and pass FBI/BCI background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate 15- to 53-passenger buses, vans, and shuttles on routes and special trips.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, fuel, clean, and prepare vehicles for service.
• Assist passengers with luggage and other needs.
• Maintain logs and reports; report safety or mechanical issues promptly.
• Participate in safety training sessions to stay current on standards.
