Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Bus Operator to safely operate 25–45-foot buses, transporting 15–80 passengers on local and occasional out-of-state routes. You will ensure passenger safety, perform routine vehicle checks, and support dispatch and maintenance teams as needed.

The role demands compliance with federal regulations, physical ability to lift heavy items, and readiness for varying campus events and emergencies. Part-time placement with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid CDL with passenger endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Report to Transit Department management and perform duties on assigned routes.
• Operate buses safely and legally to ensure passenger safety.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting and luggage.
• Adhere to Liberty University policies and professional conduct.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and conduct basic maintenance checks.
• Be available for emergencies and events as needed.
