Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring on the University of Pittsburgh campus for full-time and part-time barista positions. The role involves making and serving coffee/espresso drinks, preparing related food items, and engaging with customers in a friendly manner.

We offer a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour, online applications only, with days and hours varying. Benefits include health, retirement, and flexible perks; prior entry-level barista experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior entry-level barista experience preferred.
• Experience handling espresso orders and customer interactions is desirable.
• Familiarity with food-handling standards and HACCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS; accepts cash and card payments.
• Replenishes condiments and maintains cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper food preparation per approved recipes and production standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers and communicates to ensure satisfaction.
