This recruitment will establish eligibility lists to fill vacancies at our elementary schools. Under the direction of the school's Principal, monitors the playground and/or lunch area during periods when students are present; organizes and directs age-appropriate activities for school age students; encourages students to observe fundamental courtesies at school; implements school discipline policy and assists in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment for students.
Current vacancy hours are: 3.5 hours/day, shifts vary and some sites may require a split shift.
Monday - Friday, August through June months only.
The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is a Merit System District; all Classified (non-teaching) positions must be tested into. The Merit exam process for this recruitment includes answering supplemental questions. Based on your performance, you will be placed on an eligibility list for hire. You will be notified via email if you pass the merit exam process.
Experience working with children, paid or volunteer.
Indoor/outdoor environment. Physical activities include bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and monitoring student activities. Potential contact with body fluids and communicable diseases.
