Job summary

High Point University is seeking a full-time Accessibility Specialist to determine eligibility for services and coordinate accommodations for students with disabilities. Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of disability support experience in higher education.
• Ability to read and interpret medical/psychological documentation for accommodations.
• Knowledge of ADA, FERPA, ADAAA and other related laws.
• Skill in counseling and case management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate eligibility for services and coordinate accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Review disability documentation and communicate accommodations to faculty and staff.
• Maintain confidential student records and operate under the interactive process.
• Advocate for access to courses, assistive technology, and accessible campus services.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local disability laws and policies.
