Job summary

NWU seeks motivated interns to gain real-world experience in public accounting. You will collaborate with engagement leaders and teams, engage with clients, and travel to client locations as needed. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, coaching, and building professional relationships.

Expected to develop foundational audit skills, participate in department initiatives, and network within the firm while receiving mentorship from seniors and managers.

• Build foundational assurance skills through planning procedures, balance sheet and income statement testing, and audit reporting
• Support special projects and department-wide initiatives
• Communicate with clients and teams to keep engagements on track and ensure timely deliverables
• Engage in on-site client work by traveling to client locations as a valued team member
• Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients across the firm
• Receive ongoing coaching and feedback from seniors and managers
• Participate in networking events and activities to strengthen professional connections
• Work with a performance manager to set career goals and receive mentorship
• Learn from a buddy who provides guidance and support from day one
