Role Description

This is a part time contract remote role for a Camping Coordinator. The Camping Coordinator will organize and lead camping trips, guided hikes, and backpacking excursions. Day-to-day tasks include planning routes, securing camp sites, ensuring participant safety, and providing gear recommendations. Additionally, the coordinator will facilitate educational sessions on outdoor skills and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and backpacking
• Strong skills in land navigation, including the use of maps and compasses
• Excellent communication and instructional skills for teaching outdoor classes
• Ability to ensure safety and manage logistics for group outdoor activities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in outdoor recreation or related fields is a plus
• High School diploma required but Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, Recreation Management, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
• Wilderness CPR certification preferred
