Job summary

NOVA Parks is seeking a Campground Supervisor in Centreville, VA for part-time operations oversight of campground and camp store activities. The role includes safety, reservations, inventory, and customer service, with a $20.00 per hour pay rate and health benefits.

The candidate will supervise seasonal staff, manage POS systems, coordinate events, handle cash deposits, and maintain park standards while engaging with the public and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and maintain safe driving record.
• Age 18 or older.
• High school diploma plus two years supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret NOVA Parks rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Flexibility to meet varying demands and conditions.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in campground operations: programs, safety, cleanliness, tasks delegation, reservations, and customer service.
• Maintain POS functions in Active Works and Store Manager programs.
• Manage camp store inventory; perform monthly inventory; submit reports.
• Identify campground repair needs and coordinate with maintenance.
• Coordinate and supervise camp host program and campground events.
• Assist with programs/promotions budget management.
• Oversee opening/closing, supplies, cash handling, and deposits.
• Register campers and assign campsites; collect fees.
• Conduct campground checks; enforce campground rules.
• Ensure NOVA Parks safety and standards are followed.
• Supervise seasonal staff; schedule and train.
• Assist with park operations as needed.
• Assist with campground social media content.
• Public relations; greet visitors and answer inquiries.
