Job summary

Guest Services Inc. is seeking a Campground Attendant in Florida to serve as a guest service and campground expert. The role involves outdoor duties, checking in/out guests at kiosks, guiding visitors, and enforcing rules.

You will work outdoors in varied weather, assist with reservations, clean facilities, record safety issues, and report maintenance to supervisors. Weekend and holiday availability is required; PMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Partial high school education preferred.
  • Strong customer service abilities and proactive help for customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to recognize problems and communicate to management.
  • Familiarity with campground PMS is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light campground maintenance such as litter pickup and stocking restrooms.
  • Clean campsites and report damages to supervision.
  • Each site must be cleaned after every camper checks out and before next check in.
  • Keep track of occupied/vacant sites using the Property Management System.
  • Assist with camper reservations at the campground kiosk.
  • Regular cleaning of campground bath/shower units multiple times daily.
  • Maintain written reports of complaints/safety issues and notify maintenance as needed.
  • Set an example with housekeeping and compliance with all rules.
  • Teammate is expected to work most weekends and holidays during term.
  • Provide visitors with information on tours, hours, rentals, and trails.
  • Check campground generators are shut down by 8 PM.
  • Address quiet time issues as needed.
  • May be assigned other duties and projects not listed.

Compensation Amount: 14.00 USD Hourly Job Summary: The Campground Attendant will serve as a guest service and campground expert. There will be no "typical" day.

Campground Attendants may serve in the kiosk checking guests in/out of their campsites, outside assisting guests and supervising the campground to explain rules and regulations, as well as cleaning bath and shower houses.

Work is completed primarily outdoors in hot, cold, wet, humid, windy conditions with large amounts of mosquitoes, flies, and insects.

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform light maintenance work around campground such as litter pickup, sweeping and stocking restroom with supplies.
  • Clean campsites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as raking the campsite pad, washing tables, cleaning out fire rings, reporting any damage to your supervisor.
  • Each site must be cleaned after every camper checks out and before another check in.
  • Keep track of occupied and/or vacant sites using Property Management System.
  • Assist with camper reservation process in the campground kiosk.
  • Regular cleaning, several times a day, of campground bath and shower units.
  • Keep written report of complaints/criticism of park facilities, report situations that could affect the health and safety of visitors, and report any maintenance items which need immediate attention.
  • Set an example by being a model camper, practicing good housekeeping at all times in and around their assigned site, and by observing all rules and regulations.
  • Teammate is expected to work most weekends and holidays during their term.
  • Provide visitors with information on tour boats; store hours; bicycle rentals; canoe and kayak rentals and trails.
  • Check the campground to ensure that all generators are shut down by 8PM.
  • Address quiet time issues as needed.
  • May be assigned other duties and projects not listed.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
  • Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
  • Familiarity with any hotel or campground Property Management System a strong plus.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience required to work with a wide range of customers.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
