Job summary

PIRG is seeking Campaign Associates to educate, organize, and mobilize support for consumer protection and public health across the country. You will work on national or state campaigns, requiring discretion and independent judgment to advance reform efforts.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, strong writing and public speaking skills, and a willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends. Training and mentorship are provided, with opportunities to progress within the PIRG network.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Training on advocacy and organizing skills will be provided.
• Willing to travel regularly, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Educate and mobilize public support.
• Build coalitions with diverse organizations.
• Earn traditional and social media attention.
• Organize events and recruit volunteers.
• Lobby elected officials on campaign goals.
• Research and write reports relevant to policy proposals.
• Recruit new volunteers, interns, and staff.
• Run a summer grassroots campaign office with fundraising goals.
• Participate in organizational projects and trainings.
