Campaign Manager - Equipping Ministry Leaders Capital Campaign

Covenant Theological Seminary seeks a part-time (20–29 hours per week with a possibility of occasional 30+ hours) Campaign Manager for its Equipping Ministry Leaders Capital Campaign. The Campaign Manager will manage strategy, communication, scheduling, and reporting efforts for the duration of the Campaign, projected to last approximately three years. The position reports to the Associate Director of Donor Relations within the Seminary’s Advancement department.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of two years’ related experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
Responsibilities

The Campaign Manager will:

I. Manage the campaign

A. Staff

  • Direct key staff and volunteers on assignments, schedules, and functions.
  • Work with committee members and non-committee members related to key prospects; assist in setting agendas and arranging meetings.
  • Support Committee Chairs in preparing for and conducting campaign meetings.
  • Coordinate activities related to committees, ensuring meetings are well-planned, engaging, and celebratory.

B. Operate systems for managing prospect and planning data

C. Oversee design and preparation of materials, events, and recognition programs

  • Prioritize and execute the thanking process as commitments are made and pledges received.

D. Prepare campaign reports and evaluations

  • Monthly activity reports, potential gifts, solicitations, and total commitments toward the goal.
  • Strategic projections for gift levels and timelines.
  • Monthly updates of the campaign timetable.

E. Collaborate with campaign counsel for guidance on all aspects of the campaign.

II. Lead campaign marketing and prospect cultivation and solicitation at all levels

A. Train staff and volunteers

B. Plan, create, and oversee communication strategies

  • Monthly insiders’ newsletter and periodic campaign updates.
  • Email campaigns and social media tools like Facebook and Twitter.

C. Oversee preparation of proposals for foundations and corporations

D. Support gift officers in cultivating and soliciting campaign gifts
