Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking a part-time Camp Supervisor in Cortez, CO to oversee daily operations and ensure a safe, engaging camp experience for youth and families. The role focuses on documentation, scheduling, and supervising Camp Counselors while maintaining strong communication with parents and team members.

You’ll arrive early, review the day’s plan, adjust schedules as needed, and keep notes to ensure smooth transitions between activities and sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior day care/childcare supervision experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to collaborate well with co-workers, children, and parents.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily camp operations, including documentation and record keeping.
• Create and organize lesson plans and activity schedules.

A Typical Shift

You’ll arrive early to review the day’s plan, confirm attendance details, and set up spaces and materials so activities start on time. As the day moves, you’ll check in with Camp Counselors, adjust schedules for weather or group needs, and keep notes that help the program stay organized. Between activities, you’ll handle quick questions from parents/guardians, update paperwork, and make sure transitions stay calm and predictable. You’ll wrap up by reconciling records, resetting areas for the next session, and flagging any follow-ups for the next shift.
