Job summary

Camp Lincoln in North-Central Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations & Staffing to join our year‑round leadership team. You’ll recruit and support an outstanding seasonal staff while guiding day‑to‑day camp operations to keep programs running smoothly.

This role blends people leadership with organizational excellence, offering opportunities to contribute across the camp’s operations and staffing functions within the Cote Hospitality family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Previous residential summer camp leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Recruiting, HR, hiring, or onboarding experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CampMinder and/or ADP is a plus.
• Collaborative, flexible, and genuinely passionate about creating great experiences for young people and staff.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably in an active, outdoor camp environment.

Responsibilities

• Build an incredible team by recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and supporting seasonal staff.
• Keep camp running by coordinating staff logistics, scheduling, training, supplies, purchasing, vehicles, and day-to-day operational needs.
• Create a great staff experience by building a positive, welcoming culture where team members feel supported and valued.
• Prepare for what’s next by supporting marketing and recruiting efforts, year-round planning, and post-season feedback to improve each summer.
