The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is seeking a Residential Life Coordinator to oversee cabin staff and ensure a safe, supportive environment for campers during summer and weekend programs. You will train staff, review camper behavior plans, and coordinate communications with families and social workers.

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, maintaining behavioral documentation, and leading safety drills while upholding camp culture of Safety, Respect, and Love.

Qualifications

• Desirable but no minimum education required; degree not mandatory.
• Familiarity with residential care of children/adolescents.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise seasonal staff.
• Ability to establish positive relationships in multicultural environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communications with diverse stakeholders.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Responsabilités

• Supervise up to 35 cabin staff and one Seasonal Leadership staff member during summer.
• Interview all applicants for residential life positions.
• Review and approve camper applications for behavior, psych, and social needs.
• Communicate with camper families and social workers about behavior plans.
• Inform parents/caregivers of behavioral or safety challenges during attendance.
• Follow up on camper attendance and determine need for behavioral plans.
• Oversee creation and staff follow-through on participant documentation.
• Prepare behavior notes for staff review each session.
• Maintain TCI certification and provide training as needed.
• Contribute to safety procedures and drills for campers and staff.
• Enhance the quality of the res-life experience over time.
• Ensure cabins are prepped for summer/weekend programs and properly closed.
• Plan and facilitate weekend programs and events (e.g., Holiday Party).
• Adhere to Camp Manual policies and procedures.
• Assist in staff orientation and certification trainings.
• Coordinate language needs (ASL interpreters, translators) as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and industry conferences when asked.
• Other duties as assigned.
