Job summary

YMCA Camp Chandler is seeking a Media Assistant to capture the daily camp experience through photography and videography and to provide families with an authentic glimpse of campers' time at camp.

The role supports the Media Director and other Assistants by documenting Day Camp and Overnight Camp, organizing media, and uploading content to the camper website; it also involves contributing to videos and social media and maintaining media equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with photography or videography is preferred.
• Ability to organize and upload media content efficiently.
• Able to follow direction and meet deadlines in a camp setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos of campers and staff.
• Document Day Camp and Overnight Camp activities.
• Regularly upload and organize photos and videos for families.
• Maintain digital media library and equipment.
• Work with the Media Director on coverage schedules.
• Assist with creating videos and social media content.
• Follow privacy and permissions policies.
• Coordinate with the Media Director on priorities and needs.
• Provide a positive, professional presence around campers.
