Position Summary

The children who attend this camp are from different socio-economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds, and range in age from 6-13

Hourly: $17- $18.75 per hour

Position Summary

Children's Aid runs a summer day camp in Chappaqua, NY that brings together children from Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester. Campers and staff are bused to and from the camp each day. The purpose of this camp is to provide traditional summer camp activities (swimming, arts & crafts, sports, horsemanship, etc.) in the context of relationship building. The Camp Logistics Driver runs errands and helps transport items and equipment around the camp. The Driver is supervised by the Office Manager.

Essential Duties

• Transporting the Water Coolers to their designated areas and picking them up at the end of each day.
• Running errands off campus to purchase items needed for the camp.
• Observe all camp policies and procedures and role model for the children all camp rules of conduct that apply to them.
• Attend 3 days of training and orientation prior to camp.
• Fulfill job activities not listed here important to the success of the camp.
• Drive the vehicle when transporting campers for program reasons. Must be accompanied by a second staff member who is responsible for the participants.
